Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Event Rewind, a platform that enables users to upload, organize, and relive media from live events through interactive, time- and location-referenced interfaces. By accessing or using Event Rewind, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms apply to all users, visitors, vendors, partners, and any other individuals or entities interacting with the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Event Rewind platform (“Platform”), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform.
2. Platform Access and Accounts
2.1 You may need to create an account to access certain features.
2.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
2.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
3. User-Generated Content
3.1 Users may upload photos, videos, and other media (“User Content”).
3.2 You retain ownership of your User Content but grant Event Rewind a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
3.3 You represent that you own or have the right to upload and share the User Content and that doing so does not infringe the rights of any third party.
3.4 You may not upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or otherwise objectionable. See our Content Policy for a full list of prohibited material.
4. Event Hosts and Map Contributors
4.1 Event organizers may upload custom maps or spatial frameworks.
4.2 By submitting any spatial data or diagrams, you grant Event Rewind the right to use, publish, and associate uploaded content to those maps.
4.3 You are responsible for ensuring that all submitted location references do not infringe third-party intellectual property.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All trademarks, service marks, logos, software, and content not uploaded by users remain the property of Event Rewind and its licensors.
5.2 You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform.
6. Moderation and Reporting
6.1 Event Rewind reserves the right to moderate, remove, or restrict content at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
6.2 Users may flag content they believe violates these Terms. Moderation decisions are final.
6.3 Repeated violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination of access.
7. Data Privacy and Security
7.1 All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.
7.2 We use encryption and reasonable security protocols, but cannot guarantee complete data security.
7.3 You are responsible for not uploading sensitive or confidential personal information beyond what is necessary to use the Platform.
8. Paid Services, Fees, and Access Duration
8.1 Some features may be offered on a subscription or pay-per-event basis.
8.2 Prices are subject to change and will be disclosed prior to purchase.
8.3 No refunds will be issued except where required by applicable law.
8.4 Duration of Access: Each Rewind experience (including but not limited to Event Rewind, Festival Rewind, and Private Event Rewind) will remain available for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of the event, unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase. Users may have the option to extend access or purchase lifetime access for an additional fee. Event Rewind reserves the right to archive or remove expired content after the stated access period. Users will be notified via the email address provided at registration no fewer than thirty (30) days before any permanent removal or archival of media occurs.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 The Platform may integrate with services like Google Maps, payment processors, and social media APIs.
9.2 Event Rewind is not responsible for third-party service failures, errors, or terms of use.
10. Disclaimers
10.1 The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10.2 We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of user content or event data.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Event Rewind shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Platform.
11.2 Our total liability under any theory of law is limited to the amount paid by you, if any, in the preceding twelve (12) months.
12. Termination
12.1 We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other lawful reason.
12.2 Upon termination, the license you granted to Event Rewind in Section 3.2 shall survive with respect to content already uploaded.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Baltimore County, Maryland, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
